There are a lot of people that are wealthy and successful but none as passionate as Daniel Chavez Moran who is not only a site developer but a foundation leader as well.
When it comes to this particular developing group, they are responsible for thousands of employees and about 20 high class resorts. Aside from the hotel which hosted the 2011 United Nations Cup, his company also owns other famous hotels including Mansions of the World. The famous resort, Paraiso Mazatlan, is also owned by Moran's company.
It is the Mar de Cortes International Airport in Mexico that is also operated by the company and this is fully funded by the organization. In Mexico, there may be a lot of tycoons but it was Daniel Chavez Moran and his company that managed to own an airport. Apart from the Premio Obras Cemex, the airport has also received a handful of citations.
With all his wealth, successes and accomplishments, Mr. Moran made an important move in 2005 that is significant not only for his enterprise but also for his country, Mexico. Rather than continue working as the head honcho of the company, Moran passed on his duties as chief and concentrated on more charitable forms of service. Moran is not the kind of individual who wants to get noticed because he is filthy rich.
Social issues such as poverty and inequality can be seen in a lot of countries, not only in Mexico and Latin America, and these are some of the things that the Grupo Vidanta Foundation wants to find solutions to. There are issues such as poverty that the foundation would like to combat. Social improvement and leadership are the main ideals behind their projects.
The great thing about the foundation is that the provide their own funding. The foundation depends on contributions. The head of the advisory board of the foundation is Roberto Russell.
The group set achievable goals that are in line with the influences of their founder, Moran. First is to educate the people on the political, economic and social conditions that plague the subcontinent of Latin America. Here, the foundation is trying to make the locals see what contributes to their situation of poverty.
Second, the Foundation aims to promote studies on the relations between Latin American nations. Aside from doing their best to integrate the subcontinent with other countries, they are also working to promote democracy in the region. One of the many activities that the foundation is engaged in is the distribution of books and research studies.
Most of the things the group does have a link not only to economic betterment but democratic aspects as well. Moran was the one who hoped for such things. For him, poverty should be something that can be eradicated in the years to come.
Daniel Chavez Moran also established the Fundación Delia Moran A.C. in 2002. He named the foundation after his beloved mother and they are working to help youngsters who have no means to survive day in and day out. His mother was a teacher who dedicated her life to helping the impoverished children of Mexico.
