The Hypster music player is a free embedded music player that allows you to create and share your own personalized playlists. It is similar to other social networking sites in this regard. Hypster also gives you access to an embedded music player which you can then use to play your selected playlist on other social networking sites such as twitter, facebook and myspace. You can also use the player on a personal web page or any site that allows you to input HTML. Using the HTML code of the embedded Hypster player, it is possible to make the player invisible
Visit Hypster.com to go to Hypster's main page. If you do not already have a Hypster account, select "Register" from the main navigation bar.
Follow the registration steps to set up a new account. Registration only takes a few moments. If you already have an account then you can skip this step.
Use your user name and password to login to Hypster if the registration didn't log you in automatically. You will be taken to Hypster's "My Account" page.
Click on the image located under the "Player Skins" heading. It will be located on the right side of the page. The image will be of one of the available skins for their embedded player.
Click on the "Tape Player" widget. This doesn't really make a difference as the player will be made to be invisible, but the tape player widget's code is simple and easy to modify.
Click the "Enable Autoplay" box to allow the player to start playing songs as soon as it is loaded. You can change this setting in the HTML code but setting it here is simpler.
Ensure that the "Post" tab is selected. It will be the first from the left under the "embedded code" column.
Click anywhere on the HTML code displayed at the bottom of the "embedded code" column. The box should display "Copied." The HTML code has been copied to your clipboard
Open up a new file using notepad or other simple text editor. Paste the clipboard contents into the new file.
Ensure that word-wrap is enabled. The code is very hard to read without word-wrap on.
Locate the second visibility setting in the code. This will be the display setting for the actual player. It should say "visibility:visible;" so hange it to read "visibility:hidden;" without the quotes.
Locate the player's width setting. It will be located just before the visibility setting you just changed. Change it to read "width:0px;" without the quotes. Be sure to just change the number, removing a quote or semi-colon will prevent the code from working.
Locate the height setting. It will be located immediately after the visibility setting you changed. Change this to read "height:0px;" without the quotes. Be sure to only change the number.
Copy and paste this code into any site that will accept HTML input such as MySpace. This will create an invisible player which will automatically play any songs in your playlist.
