I owe my mother an apology. While I'm at it, I should also say sorry to my grandparents, uncles, and older brothers. It would be two years too late, but better late than never, right? But now that graduation is long gone, I deeply regret the way I carried myself during what should have been one of the proudest moments of my life. Graduation is meant to be exciting, not scary or intimidating, and it breaks my heart to see so many seniors spending this rite of passage feeling like they're not enough...

It's tough to tell when an internet phenomenon reaches actual meme status. But, in the case of the "creepy finance guy," I think we can finally call it.
Today saw yet another jaw-dropping tale of Wall Street prattishness, this time in the form of a post-date survey. Yep, a finance dude went on a date with a lady. And then he asked her for constructive feedback...

It's unusual for left-leaning activists to jump to former vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin's defense, but Noam Chomsky did just that by saying the Alaskan was dead-on with her criticism of Barack Obama's "hope" and "change" campaign...

New York Times besteller "Fifty Shades of Grey" makes its followers do odd things: Wait for several hours to receive an autograph from the writer, grieve over having to say goodbye to main character Christian Grey at the conclusion of the final book, and scream during book signings as 10-year-old girls do at Justin Bieber concerts. But does this kind of devotion last forever? Author Erica Jong, who penned the controversial novel, "Fear of Flying," has her doubts, and rightfully so...

There's a very thin line between inspiring people… and making all of us want to give up because we all fall staggeringly short of the mark. Tao Porchon-Lynch, the world's oldest yoga instructor at age 93, treads that line.
A former model, actress and, yes, burlesque dancer (awesome), is stronger, more flexible and healthier than you are, ever have been or ever will be. Someone pass the Oreos...

If I had it my way, mortifying moments would stop after a one's junior high years. They unfortunately follow people for the rest of their lives and in awful cases, take place at work.
This just happened to Bloomberg TV reporter Sara Eisen, who wore a bewildered expression on her face when the camera not-so-gracefully switched from another anchor to her just as she was fixing her dress...

Camera flashes, flashed bare chests, and flashy screen sirens give the Cannes Film Festival some of its je ne sais quoi, and that's why it's one of our favorite film fests. After a rocky start (it was initially set to start in 1939 but was postponed due to World War II), the inaugural Cannes took place more than 65 years ago on Sept. 20, 1946, making it one of the oldest film festivals to date. What began as a stand against Fascist and Nazi propaganda is now a prestigious, star-studded event. Before this year's festival kicks off tomorrow, see some of the international film festival's milestones and most eccentric moments in pictures! Read more...

Suze Orman, personal finance guru and Chancellor Of Extremely Tough Love, stopped by The View today for a wide-ranging discussion that included, unsurprisingly, a conversation about President Obama's recent announcement in support of gay marriage. Orman, herself openly gay and happily married, shared her reaction to Obama's statement -- and gave an emotional plea for more support for gay marriage...

I'll be recapping the remainder of this season of Girls. My qualifications are these: I am in my early twenties, live in New York City, just finished an M.F.A. in Creative Writing, work for a media company, and my thesis was — you guessed it — a collection of personal essays. Unlike the other 90% of the population, my biggest problem might be that Girls is too relatable...

I've seen a lot of advice for new grads, but there's one that often pops up — travel after graduation. Personally, I'm a little bit torn on that advice. I think it's good to take a trip after graduation (if you can afford it) only if you've secured a job for yourself. Although a trip is a nice break, it may just serve as a distraction for job seekers. Further, the money you're spending on the trip can be socked away to your emergency fund, which may certainly come into good use if you find yourself unable to find a job for a good while. That's not to say that you shouldn't take any travel breaks. A short weekend trip to somewhere close by won't disrupt your job hunt nor drain your wallet...

There are many words to describe ultra-creative "Girls" director Lena Dunham -- and "predictable" is not one of them. That's why it comes as no surprise to me that the high-achieving 20-something just spent her birthday at spin class...and dragged her friends along for the ride...
