Editor's Rating: User Rating: Good: The 2012 Dodge Charger R/T's standard Uconnect infotainment system features a massive screen and numerous digital-audio sources. The optional Garmin navigation is quick and features excellent voice command. Bad: While powerful, the 5.7-liter drivetrain doesn't feel very responsive. Fuel economy is a bit disappointing. There are three different voice command systems to contend with. Bottom Line: The much-improved 2012 Dodge Charger R/T offers a good blend of power and cabin technology, but could use a bit more refinement where efficiency and ease of use are concerned. Editor's Rating: User Rating: Good: The Vizio VHT215 is the company's sleekest sound bar yet, with a wireless sub and a truly excellent remote. There are plenty of connectivity options, including two HDMI inputs and optical, coaxial, and minijack audio inputs. And its sound quality is also excellent for a budget sound bar, with lots of flexibility to make adjustments. Bad: It's not quite as good as the slimmer, cheaper, and slightly better-sounding Haier SBEV40-SLIM. Bottom Line: The Vizio VHT215 looks sleek, sounds good, and is packed with inputs, making it one of the top budget sound bar choices. [Read more] ..

Editor's Rating: User Rating: Good: The LG LM9600 series TV is an incredibly striking piece of furniture with one of the slimmest bezels we've ever seen. Color reproduction is excellent, after a bit of tweaking. The Magic Motion controller has its quirks but is the best Smart TV navigator out there. The feature set is excellent, and passive 3D is virtually crosstalk-free. Bad: The LM9600 doesn't perform up to its flagship TV pricing or the expectations created by its full-array local-dimming backlight. Its black levels are significantly worse than those of last year's LG flagship, it suffers from blotchy uniformity, and in shadow detail it lags behind other high-end sets. Bottom Line: While it's got supermodel looks and pricing to match, the LG LM9600 is unfortunately only an amateur performer. [Read more] ..

Editor's Rating: User Rating: Good: The Asus G75VW-AS71 has a cutting-edge processor, a new Nvidia GPU, a slightly thinned-down body, a matte antiglare screen, and faster ports and connections than its predecessor, including tons of USB 3.0 ports and Thunderbolt. Bad: This laptop’s still not cheap: it may not be $2,000, but it’s far more expensive than the average laptop. And, let’s face it: this machine’s still a boat. The performance lags behind that of even more powerful gaming laptops like the Origin EON17-S. Bottom Line: If you want to buy a “budget” gaming laptop, the Asus G75VW-AS71 offers plenty of horsepower and features in its heavy 17-inch body. Just don’t expect anything svelte -- or good battery life. [Read more] ..

Editor's Rating: User Rating: Good: The Sony Xperia P has a beautiful design and good build quality, with a brushed-aluminum chassis and a bright 4-inch display. Bad: The Xperia P only runs Gingerbread (Android 2.3) and the battery isn't removable. There's no expandable memory slot and its reception suffers from a "death grip." Bottom Line: Despite needing a few improvements, the Sony Xperia P is one of the better handsets from Sony this year. Unfortunately, that's not saying a lot. [Read more] ..

Editor's Rating: User Rating: Good: The Amped Wireless High Power Wireless-N 600mW Gigabit Dual Band Router R20000G supports true dual-band connectivity and USB-based network storage. It offers decent range on the 2.4GHz band and very good data rates on the 5GHz band. Bad: Amped Wireless' R20000G doesn't support the 450Mbps standard, runs hot, and has terrible data rates on the 2.4GHz band and relatively short range on the 5GHz band. The router's built-in USB port doesn't support printers and didn't fare very well in terms of storage performance, either. Bottom Line: Despite the added features, the Amped Wireless High Power Wireless-N 600mW Gigabit Dual Band Router R20000G doesn't impress as much as the previous model, and hence fails to justify its higher price tag. Editor's Rating: User Rating: Good: The Philips O'Neill The Stretch TR 55LX are attractively styled, very comfortable, and relatively lightweight for over-the-ear headphones. They're also modestly priced and you can detach the headphone cord. Bad: Sound could be more dynamic and detailed; no built-in microphone; headphones don't fold flat. Bottom Line: The Philips O'Neill The Stretch TR 55LX get a birdie for design but only hit par for sound quality. [Read more] ..

Editor's Rating: User Rating: Good: Music sounds surprisingly good on the Energy Power Bar. The wireless subwoofer is compact, and the sound bar itself is easy to wall-mount with keyhole slots on the back. Bad: The Power Bar sounds underwhelming when it comes to movies, especially for the price. You're also required to use your TV's remote to control the Power Bar, which can be problematic with some TVs. Bottom Line: The Energy Power Bar sounds better than most sound bars when playing music, but there are better overall sound bars available for less money. [Read more] ..

Editor's Rating: User Rating: Good: Sony's entry-level Handycams, the HDR-CX190, CX200 and CX210 are small, lightweight and cheap. A captive USB cable that enables charging while connected to your computer is one of the few perks. Bad: You can't really call the video HD quality, the camcorder feels flimsy and the lens is prone to fringing. Bottom Line: They're cheap and capture video, but don't buy the Sony Handycam HDR-CX190, CX200 or CX210 thinking that you're getting a great bargain on a real HD camcorder. If you're going to buy one, get the cheapest; nothing on any of these is really worth the extra bucks. [Read more] ..

Editor's Rating: User Rating: Good: The Verizon Jetpack 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot MiFi 4620L by Novatel Wireless provides fast Internet access to up to 10 devices at a time, supports Wireless-N, and has many features. The compact router has long battery life, especially with the included double-capacity battery. Bad: The Verizon Jetpack MiFi 4620L comes with expensive and limited data plans, doesn't support Wi-Fi Protected Setup, and there's no way to wake it remotely. Bottom Line: Business travelers will find the Verizon Jetpack MiFi 4620L an excellent companion thanks to its fast connection, nice set of features, and long-lasting battery. Its expensive and limited data plans, however, might steer casual users away. [Read more] ..

Editor's Rating: User Rating: Good: The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 is a well-designed tablet with powerful speakers, a responsive screen, and comes with Ice Cream Sandwich installed. Bad: At $400, the tablet is overpriced compared to more powerful competing tablets that offer better features for around the same price. The tablet’s dual-core CPU has trouble running large 1080p movies smoothly, and its screen color accuracy isn't as high as the previous Tab 10.1. Bottom Line: The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 comes up short in performance, features, and value compared to competing tablets. [Read more] ..
